Still feels like Summer out here in Sac with today being in the low 90s. Time is really flying by this year. Looks like the gas prices have gone down since the beginning of summer. Today I saw regular unleaded going for $3.53. Check out this site for the lowest prices in your area. Check out my next phone from Sony. Its definitely gonna be a LOT better than the iPhone.

In Rec Sports: Jason's Hammering Cooleys finish the season at 2-8. Lenin's Jabbawookies finish their season at 8-2 for the Fultun-El Camino Rec league. James' G-men are 2-1 in the West Sacramento league. Arnel's Jokers basketball team are 4-1 after beating last season's champions. The Natomas tennis team I'm on are 0-2; however, I won my first singles match.

In other sports news: The Steelers lose to the Eagles and are 2-1. Looks like the Red Sox, Rays, Angels and Cubs clinched a playoff berth. In fantasy football I'm 2-1 in Jay's league and 1-2 in my old work league.

Next week is Fall! Summer went by pretty fast. Its starting to get dark at 6:30pm... soon it'll be a lot earlier. Looks like Hurricane Ike was just as destructive as Katrina three years ago. Of course it didn't have as many casualties but it almost matches the $$. Even though it died down a lot, the winds could still be felt during some of the football games this past weekend. On that note, my fantasy football record is 1-1, 0-2. Lucky me, I picked Brady as my first pick in my 0-2 league.

In sports, the Steelers and Broncos are 2-0! Sacramento River Cats are PCL champions and the A's are 2nd to last in their division.... complete breakdown!! Federer breezes to his 5th US Open title. Basketball starts in 6 weeks!! In rec sports, JP's G-men are 1-1; Lenin's Jabbawookiez are 7-2; Arnel's Jokers are 3-1; Jason's Hammering Cooleys are 2-6.

The heat seems to like sticking around in Sac. Last week it was in the 100s, this week its in the mid to high 90s. At least its not as bad as having to face hurricanes in the Southeast: Gustav, Hanna, Ike, and Josephine. Congratulations to Brian and Tiffany Martin who wed this past weekend in San Ramon. I'll post the pics as soon as I can.

In sports, football season starts tomorrow so you know what that means...Fantasy Football! Only doing 2 leagues this year. Martin and I won the doubles tournament for our division...not bad for our first tournament! Speaking of tennis, there are 2 americans still alive in the US Open: Roddick and Fish. I still think its gonna be Federer over Nadal in the finals.
