September 27, 2006:

Last weekend my family had a lil scare. My father was hospitalized and was released on Sunday. Apparently he had an inflammation of the pancreas and was hard for him to move. Thank goodness he's out and feeling a lot better. Brew and Jessie fly down from New York this week to attend Jason & Richele's wedding this Saturday. Should be an interesting week with the fellas again. A's make it to the playoffs this year!! So far I'm 3-0 in Fantasy Football for 2 of my $$ leagues, but 0-3 for my work league.

Sports Update:

  1. Maier's Softball team lose their 5th straight game knocking their hopes of making the playoffs. Next game is 10/3 @ 8:40pm vs. Folsom Travel.

Updated September 26, 2006

Charles goes up for a put back while being fouled on the ground after grabbing an offensive board. He converted the 3-point play.

Another ugly loss for the Jokers as Ashton Crew kept pouring the buckets in during the first half. The only lead the Jokers had was during the first 5 minutes of the game where they lead by 4 points, 7-3...<click here for story>

Last week was another busy week for me. My family took me out to dinner for my birthday. Can't believe I'm 29 years old now! Mentally I don't feel like it but physically I can tell my body takes a little longer to recover. Which leads me to Thursday during my softball game where we actually went 9 innings of softball. The game took about an hour and 45 minutes. Luckily we ended up winning the game, but my body definitely felt it the next day. Friday, Tram & I ended up going to San Francisco to pick up her sister from USF and her cousin from the airport. Good thing I ended up going after traffic. Saturday was Tram's cousin's wedding. Congratulations to Thuan and Marilou Bui! This weekend is Arnel & Christine's wedding. After Arnel's wedding, I would have been to 7 weddings so far! Crazy!! So far my 3 fantasy football leagues are going well, the $$ ones anyways.

Rec Sports

  2. After a grueling 9-inning game filled with amazing catches and hilarious bloopers, We Need Skills racked up enough runs in the last inning to get the win. Next game is tomorrow vs. Eyedeology @ 7:35.
  3. Lenin's Basketball team play their first game this Sunday @ West Sac. Stay tuned for more info.

Congrats to Lisa & Sean for a beautiful wedding ceremony/reception. Reception was held at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. I'll try to get some more pics to post on the website, until then click here to see the pics I have taken. D.C. was pretty humid and thank goodness we left before the storms of Hurricane Ernesto blew in. Football season starts this week! I'm in 3 fantasy football leagues and it doesn't look like I'll have a chance in either one. Softball also starts up again this week. Here's how the schedule looks:

  1. Fighting Bens look to win their first game of the season vs. Dominick's Italian Mart @ 6:30pm (9/5)
  2. We Need Skills coming off a loss last week look for their first win vs. Gone Ballistic @ 6:30pm (9/7)
