September 25, 2005:

Nothing much going on here in San Diego. Weather is still nice. Went surfing the past 2 weekends. Last weekend, the waves were huge in Ocean Beach with some waves as high as 10'!! In Coronado the waves were bigger than normal with some reaching as high as 6'. Today was a little above normal.

Football season is finally here! Too bad my Broncos got slaughtered. This weekend went by pretty fast. Didn't really do too much. Went surfing on Sunday at Ocean Beach for the 1st time in 3 weeks. Again I got crushed under the 7' waves. At least thats the way it looked while I was paddling out. I guess its the only way I'm ever gonna learn. I can't believe its been 4 years since the 9/11 attacks. Time is just flying by. Tram's cousin, Mary, is in town this week. Still waiting for the pics to develop from Virginia Beach, which is about to get hit by Hurricane Ophelia within the next 24 hours.

September 6, 2005:

Arrived safely from Virginia Beach, VA. I finished the race at 1:58. I felt my legs kinda give way towards the last 3 or 4 miles. I guess I didn't train as hard as I should have. Not sure when I will do the next marathon. Just can't wait til I get that fat medal I've been wanting since last year. I'll take a picture and post it as soon as I get it. I haven't developed the pictures yet, but when I do I'll post them here. Virginia Beach was really really nice. For the most part it was like the East Coast version of San Diego weather and beaches. The only difference is that Virginia Beach is a lot cleaner and the actual beach stretches past 3 1/2 miles, so its never too crowded. I wasn't able to surf due to time but I'm sure I'll make up for it this weekend!! Check the League Update tab to get a briefing of RKD's last game of the season!!
