Congratulations to Arnel's Jokers basketball team for winning the Championship over the weekend. Hopefully I can get the video footage of the game soon and upload it here. Stay tuned! In other news, the presidential election is just 2 weeks away. Go out and vote. According to the new polls Obama is leading by double digit percentage points.

In sports, the Steelers are 5-1 and the Broncos are 4-3. Not sure if this year's World Series will be too exciting as the Phillies and Devil Rays battle it out for the championship. Basketball season starts next week!! Current Kings prediction: 38-44. Of course I hope its a lot better. In fantasy football I'm 3-4 and 4-3. Both of my 1st and 2nd round picks are out with injuries: Brady, Addai and Bush. Booooo!

The trees in Sacramento are finally starting to change with the weather finally cooling down. We finally got rain over the weekend! Palin vs. Biden debate was the most watched VP debate ever. I'm not even going to go into politics on this one but lets just put it this way: Palin's a joke! Went to my first Oktoberfest at Sacramento Turn Verein with the Santos' and Jaime. It was a pretty cool event with great food and a lot of drinking. Congratulations to Nick and Arnel who ran their first 1/2 marathon this weekend. Also noteworthy, Lenin and Joaquin had also finished. Looks like its official, I am going to run the CIM this year. After a first place finish in the relay last year, I've decided to run the full marathon.
In sports, Phillies and Dodgers advance to the NL Championships while the Angels vs. Red Sox and Rays vs. White Sox are still fighting for a spot on the AL Championship. The Steelers pull out another close win over the Jaguars. In rec sports: Jabbawookiez lose in the Fulton El Camino Rec championship. G-Men win 4th straight game. Jokers advance to the champtionship. Hammering Cooleys end season at 2-8. I'm 2-1 in singles matches and 1-2 in doubles. In my fantasy football leagues I'm 2-3 and 3-2!
