Happy Halloween all! First of all I'd like to say CONGRATULATIONS to Rosanna and Chris Phister who got married this past weekend. The wonderful ceremony was held at the Forest House in Forest Hill, CA. I'll post the pics up soon on the new improved pics page. I'm in the process of switching server companies at the moment. Some of the improved features you will see is a different presentation, where you can upload your pictures on the site. You can also rate pictures, add comments...just to name a few. I hope to get that going by next week.
The St. Louis Cardinals win the World Series 4-1 against the Tigers. The NBA season starts tomorrow! Some analysts are already predicting the Suns to win the whole thing. It'll be interesting to see how the Kings will do. My prediction is they'll be the #5 seed this year. Fantasy football I was 1-2 last weekend which brings my records to 7-1, 5-3, 1-7.

After a few losses to start out the season, the Jokers are heating up when it counts the most. They win their 2nd straight game against a below average team that somehow stacked their team with new shooters and rebounders. First of all... Congratulations to Lee & Sheree for a beautiful and entertaining wedding ceremony. Wedding was live with bellydancers and a hula show... and of course the bride and groom. I have a few pics and will post them within the next week.
The Oakland A's lost to the Detroit Tigers who are now in the World Series vs. the Cardinals. Check this story out on the controversial Tiger's pitcher, Kenny Rogers. hmmmm... In my fantasy football leagues I'm currently 1-6, 5-2, 6-1.
Sports Update
- Fightng Bens slaughter the Young Guns ending the year on a 2 game winning streak. Final record is 2-5.
- We Need Skills lose their last game of the season by a game winning base hit. Final record was 3-4.
- Jokers win their 2nd game of the season vs. Pitzer Swishers, 63-43, to bring their record to 2-4. Next game is Sunday, 10/29 vs. EIP @ 4PM.
October 12, 2006:
Not much going on in Sac as of late. Seems like the week just keeps flying by. Sacramento finally got its taste of its first thunderstorm on Tuesday. It was just enough to cancel my softball game and only lasted a couple hours. The Oakland A's advanced to the ALCS with a sweep over the Twins; however, it seems they may be swept by the Tigers who take a 2-0 lead on Oakland's turf. I lost in all my fantasy leagues but still hold the #1 record in two of them: 4-1, 4-1, 1-4. Yesterday was pretty crazy to hear about a plane crash in an NYC high rise. Turns out it was a freak accident by the Yankee's pitcher, Lidle. Here's a topic to ponder on... teachers with guns? With all the school shootings going on recently, a Wisconson law maker is pushing for this.
Sports Update:
- Fighting Bens get rained out and will most likely make up the game on 10/17 vs. Young Guns
- We Need Skills beat their longtime rival, Red Dogs convincingly. Last game is today vs. Strike 4.

At first glance you would think the Jokers had this game in the bag. Based on skills and athleticism, the Jokers should have been the clear winner. However, this game blew away that perception. The Jokers struggled in the 1st half in both shooting (39%) and turnovers (8)...<story>
October 4, 2006:
Congratulations to the newlyweds, Jason and Richele Cooley!! They got married September 30 in Concord. I played golf for my first time with the fellas on Saturday morning. Didn't do too bad and it wasn't as bad as I thought....maybe a new hobby??..we'll see. NBA 2K7 is finally out for the 360 and it is nice!! Speaking of basketball, can't wait for this season to start, I wonder how the Kings will do this year with the new coach. The weather in Sac has actually been pretty cool lately, no more summer.. hello fall. I won all of my fantasy football leagues and am 4-0, 4-0, & 1-3.
Sports Update:
- Maier's Softball team finally get a win as they came back from 12 runs in the last inning to win it out vs. Folsom Travel. Last game is 10/10 @ 7:35 vs. Young Guns.
- We Need Skills lose their last game and look for redemption from last season's champs Red Dogs today.
