I know its been a while since I updated this. Time is just flying by so fast! In the news, the world economy has seemed to be slumping following the downturn of the US economy. The Big 3 auto makers will be receiving their version of a bailout plan from the government. The government will also bailout Citigroup. Some good news: I've seen gas as low as $1.79 this past weekend! Airline tickets could be cheaper during the holidays now that gas prices have gone down. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Bui (my brother-in-law) on their marriage this past weekend. I'll post the pics as soon as I can upload them. In sports, the Tennessee Titans are no longer undefeated and are still the most overrated NFL team today. The Steelers topped the Bengals and are 8-3. The Kings fell short again in another close game vs. the Trailblazers and fall to 5-11. In rec sports, Parkhurst's Deposed Kings start out at 0-2. In Fantasy football, I made the playoffs in Jason's league and missed the playoffs in my old work league. In fantasy basketball, I'm on a 3 game winning streak at 3-1. I know this is old and happened before the election but I thought this was pretty funny. And to think she might have been our next VP! November 5, 2008
![]() Well its official! Barack Obama is our new 44th president. Its unbelievable how far America has come in the past 40 years. I'm sure he will do a very great job running our country. In Sacramento, it has been pretty cold and rainy the past few days. Definitely that time of year to bust out the jackets. In sports, the Kings finally win their first game of the season to Memphis after losing their first 4 games. The Steelers are now 6-2. The Phillies win the 2008 World Series in one of the lowest rated World Series ever... go figure. In fantasy football I'm 4-5 in both my leagues and a win shy of making it to the playoffs. Just started another fantasy league for basketball and started off with a loss. Here's the video of Barack Obama's acceptance speech after winning the 44th presidency of the U.S. |
