Very strange weather in Sacramento over the past 2 weeks. The first week we reached the 100s. Last week was pretty windy. Then going into this weekend it cooled down and had scattered rain throughout. Hopefully, it'll be cool and dry next weekend for the marathon in San Diego. That's right... less than a week away and Tram will embark on her first life changing marathon! I'll definitely post the pictures for that one. After almost a year, we finally got our negatives for our wedding from the photographer. So I'll be posting those up soon on the picturespage. My streak for consecutive recreational games wonb ended at 12 games. The longest streak in my career. The loss happened during our West Sac league last weekend.
In sports, the A's have slipped to #2 in their division behind the Angels. The French Open began this past weekend. My prediction would be a Nadal and Federer matchup again. In basketball, the Celtics and Pistons are tied at 2 in the East and the Lakers are leading the Spurs, 2-1, in the West.
Check out this Boston marathon clip of the motorcycle cop hitting a spectator and no one notices it...
Not looking forward to the next week as Sacramento will hit its first 100 degree mark of the year! It seems pretty early than usual, a sign of global warming? This past weekend we trained the longest run in our training... 16 miles! It was definitely warmer than usual but luckily we were jogging right next to the American River. Other than the high temperatures in Sac, not much has been going on. Don't want to jinx myself but in rec sports combined (basketball, softball, and football, I'm on an 11-game winning streak! It's amazing, I don't ever remember being on the winning side for this long! Congrats to Rex Kwon Do who have won their first 2008 West Sacramento championship! You can read more here...
In sports, the Oakland A's are in 1st place with the best record in the American League @ 23-16! French Open starts at the end of this month! In the NBA playoffs, Spurs and Hornets are tied at 2-2, Cavs and Celtics are tied at 2-2, Jazz and Lakers are tied at 2-2, and the Pistons are 1 game away from eliminating the Magic!
Already 5 months into the year. Time seems to be going by really fast. Last week, Tram and I went jogging on the American River trail. I've gotta say it was a really nice scenic route and one of the top 10 things to do in Sacramento.
In the NBA, the Spurs eliminate the Suns, Lakers sweep the Nuggets, Hornets shoot down the Mavs, Pistons trample the 76ers, and the Magic slay the Raptors. In rec sports, Rex Kwon Do end the season at 7-1 and tied for 1st place. Playoffs start on May 7th. Jabbawockeez lose their season opener. Arnel's Jokers drop 2 straight and are 1-2. Jay's Cobra Kai's win their first game and are 1-3. My tennis league begins this Saturday at the gym. It'll be my first actual competition in the sport.
