December 27, 2005: Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!! I went down to Kodiak, AK last Tuesday to attend my grandfather's funeral, Segunda Ramirez Paneda. I was also able to visit my family that I hardly ever see. Its good to see some of my younger cousins grown up and to know that my aunt and uncles haven't changed much. Anyway, the weather wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It was raining but no snowfall. Although it was a little weird because that part of the world is in the Winter Solstice where its dark the majority of the day. Sunrise was at 10:30AM and sunset was at 4:00PM. Kodiak is a little island off the south coast of Alaska...in case you were wondering. The majority of the island is forest and mountains so Kodiak city is probably 20% of the island. The biggest stores they have was a Walmart and a Safeway, both comparable to your local stores in terms of size. Well, now I'm just looking forward to the New Year. December 16, 2005:
Nothing new to report... only that Christmas is about 11 days away! Can't believe its almost Year 2006. In Sports FTW almost won their first game last weak. With 5 seconds left on the clock Lenin drove it the distance to dish off to Jesse who barely missed the buzzer beating layup with about .3 of a second!! Kings are finally on a 3 game win streak after losing 5 straight to some easy teams. Looks like this might be a close season for the 8th seed in the West!! December 4, 2005: Check out the new GAMESPAGE!! There you will find some of the games that I'm currently playing and some of the games that I've played before. There is also an ARCADE section where you can play some really cool flash games on your computer. All you need is the latest Flash Player installed on your computer. Another cool thing about it is that if you can see this page then you can play it on your computer, bypassing any firewalls!! You can also just click on the Multimedia tab and access the games directly. December 3, 2005: I know its been a while since I last updated this site. Quite a few things have happened. Arnel and I were crazy enough to stay in line at the local Walmart here in Rancho Cordova for an Xbox 360. Arnel wanted one for financial reasons and I wanted one because I'm a true gamer! We actually waited in line for about 2 1/2 hours before the owner of the store came out and started handing out golden tickets to the first 14 buyers. That way we wouldn't have to wait in line until 7AM. So we were both #11 & #12. It was kinda crazy because I've never really had to wait in line for anything before. When the PS3 comes out I'll make sure I pre-order. Thanksgiving break was pretty busy. Started off Thursday morning with the annual Thanksgiving Flag Football game with the fellas. Of course my team won and I am still undefeated after about 7 years participating in the event. I will post pictures up when I recieve them. Anyway, I had 3 dinners to attend on Thursday, 1 on Friday, 1 on Saturday and a whole lotta leftovers. Overall, I think I gained about 5 pounds during the break. |
