Triple digit temperatures again! It almost feels like July all over again. Hopefully this will be our last heat wave for the year. Just over 2 weeks before Brian and Tiffany's wedding in San Ramon. Congrats and best of luck to them! The Olympics in Beijing started about 5 days ago. Check below for a highlight reel of the opening ceremonies. Not sure if any of the future opening ceremonies are gonna top this one. Started my first tennis tournament this week. Took an early exit in the singles match but made it to the semi's in doubles. Hopefully I'll have some good news to report the next time I update my site.

In sports, the A's are pathetic and the Steelers look promising. Football begins in a couple weeks which means Fantasy Football is back! Not too much else to say in this category except Phelps is the MJ in swimming! Enjoy the opening ceremony video...

 

Summer break is almost over. Too bad the high temperatures are sticking around. The Olympics in Beijing begins in 5 days. Hard to believe that Tram and I were actually there a year ago. It'd be interesting to see how much it has changed on television. About a week away until my first tennis tournament. Time to see where I stand with the tennis peeps in the Sacramento area. I'll be competing in doubles and singles from august 11 - 17th.

In other sports, the Kings finally trade Artest to Houston. Not sure if this is a good move but I trust Petrie knows what he's doing. The A's are stinking it up with 6 losses in a row with a 53-57 record and 11 games behind the 4th spot. Nadal will claim his #1 seeding from Federer going into the US Open in September.
