August 30, 2005:

Came back from Sac on time last Sunday. It was good to visit the family and friends after a while. Just wish I had enough time during my stay. Didn't get a chance to visit Kev before he goes back to Japan, also missed out on Alicea's birthday party! :( This weekend is my half marathon in Virginia Beach, VA. I'm pulling for a 1:45 finish but I don't think I'll make it. Just want to get under 2:00. We'll see...

My sis was supposed to come down on Wednesday but due to an emergency operation she had to stay back. Luckily everything is okay with her. Didn't really do too much this weekend. I went surfing on Sunday in Coronado. Unfortuneately, I went during low tide so the waves were pretty small. I'm heading back down to Sac this Thursday night. So I'll see most of ya'll then. Hope you enjoy my new website layout. I'll be adding more and more stuff in the next couple weeks. Check out the newest feature which is my Forum here you can post anything you want and respond to anything on the board. Have fun with it!!

Went surfing again this past weekend this time to a new spot...Ocean Beach!! The waves were pretty challenging and they were coming in frequent intervals. I admit that I wiped out several times, but the couple of times that I was able to catch a good wave were well worth the scratches. My sister is coming down this Wednesday to visit before heading out to Vegas. The boyz (Jay, Lenin, Brew & Nick) are heading to Vegas tomorrow til Friday. Good luck!! Kev is visiting from Japan this week also.

Vietnamese class is finally over so I have a lot of spare time, right? Wrong! I have a couple weeks off before I'm back in school again. I'll be taking a Japanese class (a legit one) starting end of August. It'll be my chance to brush up on my Japanese as well as read and write. Tram also decided she wanted to stay a lil longer in Sac so she won't be home until this Wednesday. This weekend went by pretty fast. I didn't work so I spent most of my time surfing! I'm getting pretty good at it too. I'm able to catch some of the bigger waves now. I went to Pacific Beach on Saturday or should I say CLUB PB... I swear there were sooo many peeps over there it was like a club and there is someone always by your space. I might have to go to the more secluded spots especially since I'm by myself. I still have to admit that the waves in PB were a lot bigger and more frequent than those in Coronado. I went to that beach today and the atmosphere was a lot better not too many beach bums but not too many waves either. I did catch my biggest wave today though and I actually got it at the peak. I'm able to jump up on the board really fast now and balance myself. Can't wait for next weekend.

Time is going by pretty fast!! Can't believe its already August! My Vietnamese class is almost over. This week will be my last week. I gotta tell ya... this language is pretty hard to learn. I went surfing last weekend in Coronado. I'm starting to get the hang of it. I actually rode 2 waves in without falling off the board and I was able to control where I wanted to go! The waves were small but good enough for a beginner like me. I think I'll hit up Pacific Beach next weekend.... they have the pretty good waves. Tram went back to Sactown yesterday and will be gone for a week so I'm here all alone this week. Luckily I've got class, workouts and videogames to keep me busy! What a tough life!? =) I've been playing a lot of Bball during lunch and during my workouts but I haven't been able to find a league yet. There's a new league at LA Fitness (my gym) but it cost like $50 and its some independent guy whose setting it up. But...we'll see.
