August 17, 2003: Smashers lose another what-should've-been an easy victory. They record their highest turnover game of the season with 20!! An upside was game leading scorer Stewart Fines, converting on all of his shots, 5-5, with 14 points. Next game is August 24th at 3:00 pm vs. Spartans, the other winless team in the league. In Softball, the Fighting Bens win their game vs. Ball Busters, 22-17, to advance to the playoffs this Tuesday, August 19th at 6:30 pm vs. Pond Scum. The winner of this game will play at 7:45 pm vs. the 1st half winner, Crystalized for the Ultimate Championship Trophy!!
August 9, 2003: Well I added a little interactive Basketball Flash thingy below. Its still in the works once I figure out more stuff to add to it. In Softball, Fighting bens lose to Pond Scum as both teams are locked in a tie for 1st. Stewart again smashes a homerun over right field fence tying the HR leader for the team with 7 HRs.
August 5, 2003: This weeks game was a close one; however, the Smashers lose their 5th straight game of the season to 209-BOOGS, 58-52. This game looked a lot better and the Smashers are continually improving. They need to win at least 3 out of their next 5 games if they want to see their playoff hopes alive. Next game is this Sunday at 4pm vs. COMM. In Softball, The Fighting Bens win their 6th straight game and are 3-0 in the second half of the season. Next game is tonight at 7:30pm vs. Pond Scum.
